A Grain Of Sand Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDD EFGHAAII JJKKCCLL

Do you see this grain of sandA
Lying loosely in my handA
Do you know to me it broughtB
Just a simple loving thoughtB
When one gazes night by nightC
On the glorious stars of lightC
Oh how little seems the spanD
Measured round the life of manD
-
Oh how fleeting are his yearsE
With their smiles and their tearsF
Can it be that God does careG
For such atoms as we areH
Then outspake this grain of sandA
I was fashioned by His handA
In the star lit realms of spaceI
I was made to have a placeI
-
Should the ocean flood the worldJ
Were its mountains 'gainst me hurledJ
All the force they could employK
Wouldn't a single grain destroyK
And if I a thing so lightC
Have a place within His sightC
You are linked unto his throneL
Cannot live nor die aloneL
