The Master Theme Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA ABBA CDD EDE

A Slovene wreath your poet has entwinedA
A record of my pain and of your praiseB
Since from my heart's deep roots have sprung these laysB
These tear stained flowers of a poet's mindA
-
They come from where no man can sunshine findA
Unblest by soothing winds of warmer daysB
Above them savage peaks the mountains raiseB
Where tempests roar and nature is unkindA
-
They were all fed on many a plaint and tearC
Frail growth these blossoms had so sad and fewD
As over them Malignant storm clouds flewD
-
Behold how weak and faded they appearE
Send but your rays their glory to renewD
Fresh flowers will spread fragrance far and nearE
