A Wreath Of Sonnets (13/14) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA ABBA CDD CDC

Send but your rays their glory to renewA
And let me not look for dawn's light in vainB
In your dear face to hold back night's domainB
And calm the wildest storms that ever blewA
-
Fall with the load of heavy cares I knewA
Their fetters will be loosened chain by chainB
And all the wounds they caused that still remainB
With gentle soothing will be healed by youA
-
The cloud then from my frowning brow shall clearC
Within me hope will shine and thrive once moreD
And from my lips sweet words again shall pourD
-
My heart no longer shall remain austereC
And from the inspiration in its storeD
Fresh flowers will spread fragrance far and nearC
