A Wreath Of Sonnets (1/14) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA ABBA CCD EED

A Slovene wreath your poet has entwinedA
Of fifteen sonnets is the chaplet boundB
And in it thrice the Master Theme must soundB
Thus are the other harmonies combinedA
-
Now from his source like streams in order windA
The sonnets and the head of each is foundB
By the last line of the last sonnet crownedB
This is a semblance of your poet's mindA
-
From one love all by thoughts arise and loC
Whene'er I sleep at night they cease to flowC
But stir when darkness flees before dawn's raysD
-
You are the Master Theme of my whole lifeE
Which will be heard when I have ceased my strifeE
A record of my pain and of your praiseD
