Sonnet To Italy Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDED FGFGHH

FOR thee Ansonia Nature's bounteous handA
Luxuriant spreads around her blooming storesB
Profusion laughs o'er all the glowing landA
And softest breezes from thy myrtle shoresB
-
Yet though for thee unclouded suns diffuseC
Their genial radiance o'er thy blushing plainsD
Though in thy fragrant groves the sportive museE
Delights to pour her wild enchanted strainsD
-
Though airs that breathe of paradise are thineF
Sweet as the Indian or Arabian galesG
Though fruitful olive and empurpling vineF
Enrich fair Italy thy Alpine valesG
Yet far from thee inspiring freedom fliesH
To Albion's coast and ever varying skiesH
