Invocation Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFEGHIH JKJKILI AMAMNIN OGOGPMP

I called on dreams and visions to discloseA
That which is veil'd from waking thought conjuredB
Eternity as men constrain a ghostC
To appear and answer WORDSWORTHD
-
-
Answer me burning stars of nightE
Where is the spirit goneF
That past the reach of human sightE
As a swift breeze hath flownG
And the stars answer'd me 'We rollH
In light and power on highI
But of the never dying soulH
Ask that which cannot die '-
-
Oh many toned and chainless windJ
Thou art a wanderer freeK
Tell me if thou its place canst findJ
Far over mount and seaK
And the wind murmur'd in replyI
'The blue deep I have cross'dL
And met its barks and billows highI
But not what thou hast lost '-
-
Ye clouds that gorgeously reposeA
Around the setting sunM
Answer have ye a home for thoseA
Whose earthly race is runM
The bright clouds answer'd 'We departN
We vanish from the skyI
Ask what is deathless in thy heartN
For that which cannot die '-
-
Speak then thou voice of God withinO
Thou of the deep low toneG
Answer me thro' life's restless dinO
Where is the spirit flownG
And the voice answer'd 'Be thou stillP
Enough to know is givenM
Clouds winds and stars their part fulfilP
Thine is to trust in Heaven '-
