I speak of a friend
Who I can't detaste
Life's upbringing of me
I found someone to turn to for comfort
To share secrets with
And for whom a smile will always come by
Just to be in her presence
Perhaps that's how memories
Were made in silence and profoundness
And the air we shared and exchanged by then
Could have reached in both hearts
And spelt, smeared the word love
On both hearts, to care for each other
That in abscence I will be missing you

I speak of a friend
Who I haven't seen in pages of poetry
In all words, she is sharing
A smile once shared with me
I'm jealous ; it was our code of friendship
Time flies each day as we grow by age
Don't be surprised when I remind you
Of when you were sixteen
In times you disliked and enjoyed most
Especially those shared with love and laughter
Because memories do never get old
And am ready for more
