Rhyme Scheme: ABCB CDED FGHG FIJJ KLFL HMNM HHHH

My name is Nunty CormorantA
And my finance is soundB
I lend you Englishmen hot airC
At one and three the poundB
-
I lend you Englishmen hot airC
And I get all the beefD
While you stalwart sheep of freedomE
Are on the poor reliefD
-
Wot oh my buxom heartiesF
What ain't got work no moreG
And don't know what bug is a bitin'H
To keep your feelin's soreG
-
There is blokes in automobilesF
And their necks sunk into furI
That keep on gettin' usuryJ
To make 'em cosierJ
-
I read these fellers puts itK
Most tidily awayL
And then lends out their printed slipsF
To keep the wolf awayL
-
From the vaults and combinationH
Safes in Thread and Needle streetM
I wouldn't 'ave the needleN
If I had more grub to eatM
-
Oh the needle is your portionH
My sufferin' fellow menH
Till the King shall take the notionH
To own his coin againH
