Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHHIF DJKCFF

The sun rises in south east corner of thingsA
To look on the tall house of the ShinB
For they have a daughter named RafuC
pretty girlD
She made the name for herself 'Gauze Veil 'E
For she feeds mulberries to silkwormsF
She gets them by the south wall of the townG
With green strings she makes the warp of her basketH
She makes the shoulder straps of her basketH
from the boughs of KatsuraI
And she piles her hair up on the left side of her headpieceF
-
Her earrings are made of pearlD
Her underskirt is of green pattern silkJ
Her overskirt is the same silk dyed in purpleK
And when men going by look on RafuC
They set down their burdensF
They stand and twirl their moustachesF
