The Light That Leaves Us Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDEA FAFG HIJI KFLF M

The wisp has gone astrayA
so what are we to doB
I saw you walk awayA
streaking lights of red and blueB
-
as you walked into the southC
halting steps burdened your shouldersD
Told me your light had gone outE
and your flame began to smoulderA
-
Ah my joy My muse My little heartF
in silence you do wanderA
Come back and soothe me with your artF
Your absence has been squanderedG
-
Like fireflies unto my eyesH
you blessed me with your gazeI
But like the blade which then destroysJ
you left me in your future daysI
-
I know I'll always wander eastK
and think of your departF
But if you should ever read this pleaseL
You're his sixth turning of the heartF
