Oh' mother!
yhu are rich and wealthy
your milky river mixed with oil
and your fertile soil produces green pastures
But, your children are selfish and greedy
your prodigal sons are in the chamber
under the stench of cool breeze
sleeping and snoring
cascading down our rivers of hope
your eldest sons from Adamawa and Daura have not gone to rest
They still suck from your sagging breast at 70s
and care less about the well being of the younger ones
Oh' mother! yhu are 59th years old
but still a crawling toddler
in the hands of your greedy children
I hope these torments leave so soon
when the yhunger ones take charge
to suck from your standing breast
I hope yhu get well soon mother
from the shackles and manacles of corruption
Mother Nigeria!
Happy independence day
