He makes his way to all
Corners all hours
With the spotless desire
to fill his crying tummy,
Sea of sweat from the confines
of his soul drips off his face,
Careless, He wipes it away
in exhaustion,
And then he overlooks his
feeble bones, tissues and
muscles,
For fear of failing to lull
his crying tummy,
Afterwards
His legs, hungry for strength
takes him to his shelter,
When the sun casts it's
shadows on the sun,
he lay still on his bed, like the
mummies of Egypt waking
up to the beginning of a new
day's hard work.

Poet's note: Here's a breakdown of the poem:
Introduction
The poem describes a person's daily struggle to survive, with a focus on their physical labor and exhaustion.
The Struggle
The person goes to all corners, at all hours, driven by the desire to feed their "crying tummy" (a metaphor for hunger and need).
Their hard work is evident in the "sea of sweat" that runs down their face, which they wipe away carelessly, too exhausted to bother.
Self-Disregard
In their desperation to satisfy their hunger, they overlook their own physical limitations and weaknesses ("feeble bones, tissues, and muscles").
Fear of Failure
The fear of failing to meet their basic needs drives them to continue working, despite their exhaustion.
Rest and Respite
Eventually, their legs, "hungry for strength," take them back to their shelter, where they can rest.
The poem describes the person lying still on their bed, like an Egyptian mummy, at the end of the day.
The Cycle Continues
The poem concludes with the image of the person waking up to start another day of hard work, as the moon's dark shadows give way to the new day's light.
This poem is a poignant portrayal of the daily struggles of a person living in poverty, highlighting the physical toll of hard labor, the fear of not meeting basic needs, and the relentless cycle of work and rest. The imagery and metaphors used create a vivid picture of the person's exhaustion and desperation.
