Modern Slavery Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A B C D E F GH I J K

Could the purple bougainvilleas reflect our natureA
-
Nor could the heat or dust around the roadside say much about usB
-
In the beginning It could have been better to start with the smell of rotine cashew tossed around this road which I never noticedC
-
Neither have I noticed the black bellied Lizard with a red head lying helplessly in line arranged orderly with chainsD
-
Instead I chose to walk in silence not mentioning the agony this road bringsE
-
The only crime I committed is that I'm a different coloured lizard I'm blackF
-
WHYG
because my DNA is an abominationH
-
I was born like this to walk only on this road but I do not blame GodI
-
Once more I cannot change the pathway of this road though it looks like it has been changed with definition of lizards with golden chains still arranged orderly to walk on this pathJ
-
Re branded they call it but it looks like I got only pain as a heritageK

Oliver : Well, Ernest tried to picture slavery but in modern civilized society, in his word " rebranded they call it. I think in his piece today's community is simply a modern slavery of the past.
