Shadow River Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BBBBBBB CDDEEEF ABBGGGA HIIJJJH KLLMMMK ANNOOOA

MUSKOKAA
-
A stream of tender gladnessB
Of filmy sun and opal tinted skiesB
Of warm midsummer air that lightly liesB
In mystic ringsB
Where softly swingsB
The music of a thousand wingsB
That almost tones to sadnessB
-
Midway 'twixt earth and heavenC
A bubble in the pearly air I seemD
To float upon the sapphire floor a dreamD
Of clouds of snowE
Above belowE
Drift with my drifting dim and slowE
As twilight drifts to evenF
-
The little fern leaf bendingA
Upon the brink its green reflection greetsB
And kisses soft the shadow that it meetsB
With touch so fineG
The border lineG
The keenest vision can't defineG
So perfect is the blendingA
-
The far fir trees that coverH
The brownish hills with needles green and goldI
The arching elms o'erhead vinegrown and oldI
Repictured areJ
Beneath me farJ
Where not a ripple moves to marJ
Shades underneath or overH
-
Mine is the undertoneK
The beauty strength and power of the landL
Will never stir or bend at my commandL
But all the shadeM
Is marred or madeM
If I but dip my paddle bladeM
And it is mine aloneK
-
O pathless world of seemingA
O pathless life of mine whose deep idealN
Is more my own than ever was the realN
For others FameO
And Love's red flameO
And yellow gold I only claimO
The shadows and the dreamingA
