Scorching relentlessly the cool north lands | B |
A sweet wild flower lifts its purple head | A |
And like some gentle spirit sorrow fed | A |
It hides the scars with almost human hands | B |

Of desolating fire of human pain | D |
There comes some purifying sweet belief | C |
Some fellow feeling beautiful if brief | C |
