Rhyme Scheme: A BCBD EFGH IJKJ LMNM OPQR

A
-
You've seen Balloons set Haven't YouB
So stately they ascendC
It is as Swans discarded YouB
For Duties DiamondD
-
Their Liquid Feet go softly outE
Upon a Sea of BlondeF
They spurn the Air as t'were too meanG
For Creatures so renownedH
-
Their Ribbons just beyond the eyeI
They struggle some for BreathJ
And yet the Crowd applaud belowK
They would not encore DeathJ
-
The Gilded Creature strains and spinsL
Trips frantic in a TreeM
Tears open her imperial VeinsN
And tumbles in the SeaM
-
The Crowd retire with an OathO
The Dust in Streets go downP
And Clerks in Counting RoomsQ
Observe 'Twas only a BalloonR
