Rhyme Scheme: A BCDC EFGH IJIJ KLIM NICI NNJN IIOI

A
-
Whose are the little beds I askedB
Which in the valleys lieC
Some shook their heads and others smiledD
And no one made replyC
-
Perhaps they did not hear I saidE
I will inquire againF
Whose are the beds the tiny bedsG
So thick upon the plainH
-
'Tis Daisy in the shortestI
A little further onJ
Nearest the door to wake the IstI
Little LeontodenJ
-
'Tis Iris Sir and AsterK
Anemone and BellL
Bartsia in the blanket redI
And chubby DaffodilM
-
Meanwhile at many cradlesN
Her busy foot she pliedI
Humming the quaintest lullabyC
That ever rocked a childI
-
Hush Epigea wakensN
The Crocus stirs her lidsN
Rhodora's cheek is crimsonJ
She's dreaming of the woodsN
-
Then turning from them reverentI
Their bedtime 'tis she saidI
The Bumble bees will wake themO
When April woods are redI
