When I hoped I recollectB
Just the place I stoodC
At a Window facing WestD
Roughest Air was goodC
-
Not a Sleet could bite meE
Not a frost could coolF
Hope it was that kept me warmG
Not Merino shawlH
-
When I feared I recollectB
Just the Day it wasI
Worlds were lying out to SunJ
Yet how Nature frozeK
-
Icicles upon my soulL
Prickled Blue and CoolF
Bird went praising everywhereM
Only Me was stillN
-
And the Day that I despairedO
This if I forgetP
Nature will that it be NightQ
After Sun has setP
Darkness intersect her faceR
And put out her eyeS
Nature hesitate beforeT
