A
-
'Twas the old road through painB
That unfrequented oneC
With many a turn and thornD
That stops at HeavenC
-
This was the Town she passedE
There where she rested lastE
Then stepped more fastE
The little tracks close prestF
Then not so swiftG
Slow slow as feet did weary growH
Then stopped no other trackI
-
Wait Look Her little BookJ
The leaf at love turned backI
Her very HatK
And this worn shoe just fits the trackI
Herself though fledL
-
Another bed a short oneC
Women make tonightM
In Chambers brightM
Too out of sight thoughH
For our hoarse Good NightM
To touch her HeadL
