A
-
The Wind didn't come from the Orchard todayB
Further than thatC
Nor stop to play with the HayB
Nor joggle a HatC
He's a transitive fellow veryD
Rely on thatC
-
If He leave a Bur at the doorE
We know He has climbed a FirF
But the Fir is Where DeclareG
Were you ever thereG
-
If He brings Odors of CloversH
And that is His business not OursH
Then He has been with the MowersH
Whetting away the HoursH
To sweet pauses of HayB
His Way of a June DayB
-
If He fling Sand and PebbleI
Little Boys Hats and StubbleI
With an occasional SteepleI
And a hoarse Get out of the way I sayB
Who'd be the fool to stayB
Would you SayB
Would you be the fool to stayB
