Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGH IBJK LMNG ODPQ

The wind begun to rock the grassA
With threatening tunes and lowB
He flung a menace at the earthC
A menace at the skyD
-
The leaves unhooked themselves from treesE
And started all abroadF
The dust did scoop itself like handsG
And throw away the roadH
-
The wagons quickened on the streetsI
The thunder hurried slowB
The lightning showed a yellow beakJ
And then a livid clawK
-
The birds put up the bars to nestsL
The cattle fled to barnsM
There came one drop of giant rainN
And then as if the handsG
-
That held the dams had parted holdO
The waters wrecked the skyD
But overlooked my father's houseP
lust quartering a treeQ
