-
If anybody's friend be deadB
It's sharpest of the themeC
The thinking how they walked alive mdashD
At such and such a time mdashD
-
Their costume of a SundayE
Some manner of the Hair mdashD
A prank nobody knew but themF
Lost in the Sepulchre mdashD
-
How warm they were on such a dayE
You almost feel the date mdashD
So short way off it seems mdashD
And now mdash they're Centuries from that mdashD
-
How pleased they were at what you said mdashD
You try to touch the smileG
And dip your fingers in the frost mdashD
When was it mdash Can you tell mdashD
-
You asked the Company to tea mdashD
Acquaintance mdash just a few mdashD
And chatted close with this Grand ThingH
That don't remember you mdashD
-
Past Bows and Invitations mdashD
Past Interview and Vow mdashD
Past what Ourself can estimate mdashD
That mdash makes the Quick of WoeI
