I know some lonely Houses off the RoadB
A Robber'd like the look ofC
Wooden barredD
And Windows hanging lowE
Inviting toF
A PorticoE
Where two could creepG
One hand the ToolsH
The other peepG
To make sure All's AsleepG
Old fashioned eyesI
Not easy to surpriseI
-
How orderly the Kitchen'd look by nightJ
With just a ClockK
But they could gag the TickL
And Mice won't barkM
And so the Walls don't tellN
None willO
-
A pair of Spectacles ajar just stirP
An Almanac's awareQ
Was it the Mat winkedR
Or a Nervous StarS
The Moon slides down the stairQ
To see who's thereQ
-
There's plunder whereQ
Tankard or SpoonT
Earring or StoneU
A Watch Some Ancient BroochV
To match the GrandmamaW
Staid sleeping thereQ
-
Day rattles tooF
Stealth's slowE
The Sun has got as farS
As the third SycamoreX
Screams ChanticleerX
Who's thereX
-
And Echoes Trains awayY
Sneer WhereX
While the old Couple just astirX
Fancy the Sunrise left the door ajarX
