First Robin Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCA DEFG HIJC GGJG KLAG MLGG NOPQ

I dreaded that first robin soA
But he is mastered nowB
And I'm accustomed to him grownC
He hurts a little thoughA
-
I thought if I could only liveD
Till that first shout got byE
Not all pianos in the woodsF
Had power to mangle meG
-
I dared not meet the daffodilsH
For fear their yellow gownI
Would pierce me with a fashionJ
So foreign to my ownC
-
I wished the grass would hurryG
So when 't was time to seeG
He'd be too tall the tallest oneJ
Could stretch to look at meG
-
I could not bear the bees should comeK
I wished they'd stay awayL
In those dim countries where they goA
What word had they for meG
-
They're here though not a creature failedM
No blossom stayed awayL
In gentle deference to meG
The Queen of CalvaryG
-
Each one salutes me as he goesN
And I my childish plumesO
Lift in bereaved acknowledgmentP
Of their unthinking drumsQ
