Don't put up my Thread and Needle mdashB
I'll begin to SewC
When the Birds begin to whistle mdashB
Better Stitches mdash so mdashB
-
These were bent mdash my sight got crooked mdashB
When my mind mdash is plainD
I'll do seams mdash a Queen's endeavorE
Would not blush to own mdashB
-
Hems mdash too fine for Lady's tracingF
To the sightless Knot mdashB
Tucks mdash of dainty interspersion mdashB
Like a dotted Dot mdashB
-
Leave my Needle in the furrow mdashB
Where I put it down mdashB
I can make the zigzag stitchesG
Straight mdash when I am strong mdashB
-
Till then mdash dreaming I am sewingF
Fetch the seam I missed mdashB
Closer mdash so I mdash at my sleeping mdashB
Still surmise I stitch mdashB
