A
-
Bring me the sunset in a cupB
Reckon the morning's flagons upB
And say how many DewC
Tell me how far the morning leaps mdashD
Tell me what time the weaver sleepsE
Who spun the breadth of blueC
-
Write me how many notes there beF
In the new Robin's ecstasyF
Among astonished boughs mdashD
How many trips the Tortoise makes mdashD
How many cups the Bee partakesF
The Debauchee of DewsF
-
Also who laid the Rainbow's piersF
Also who leads the docile spheresF
By withes of supple blueC
Whose fingers string the stalactite mdashD
Who counts the wampum of the nightG
To see that none is dueC
-
Who built this little Alban HouseF
And shut the windows down so closeF
My spirit cannot seeF
Who'll let me out some gala dayH
With implements to fly awayH
Passing PomposityF
