In convalescent Mind,
His scrutiny of Chances
By blessed Health obscured-
As One rewalks a Precipice
And whittles at the Twig
That held Him from Perdition
Sown sidewise in the Crag
A Custom of the Soul
Far after suffering
Identity to question
