Arcturus Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGH IJKJ FLMN OPQOR STUT VWX TYZY

Arcturus is his other nameA
I'd rather call him StarB
It's very mean of ScienceC
To go and interfereD
-
I slew a worm the other dayE
A Savant passing byF
Murmured Resurgam CentipedeG
q uot Oh Lord how frail are weH
-
I pull a flower from the woodsI
A monster with a glassJ
Computes the stamens in a breathK
And has her in a classJ
-
Whereas I took the ButterflyF
Aforetime in my hatL
He sits erect in CabinetsM
The Clover bells forgotN
-
What once was HeavenO
Is Zenith nowP
Where I proposed to goQ
When Time's brief masquerade was doneO
Is mapped and charted tooR
-
What if the poles should frisk aboutS
And stand upon their headsT
I hope I'm ready for the worstU
Whatever prank betidesT
-
Perhaps the Kingdom of Heaven's changedV
I hope the Children there Won't be new fashioned when I comeW
And laugh at me and stareX
-
I hope the Father in the skiesT
Will lift his little girlY
Old fashioned naught everythingZ
Over the stile of PearlY
