An English Breeze Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EEBB FFGG

UP with the sun the breeze aroseA
Across the talking corn she goesA
And smooth she rustles far and wideB
Through all the voiceful countrysideB
-
Through all the land her tale she tellsC
She spins she tosses she compelsC
The kites the clouds the windmill sailsD
And all the trees in all the dalesD
-
God calls us and the day preparesE
With nimble gay and gracious airsE
And from Penzance to MaidenheadB
The roads last night He wateredB
-
God calls us from inglorious easeF
Forth and to travel with the breezeF
While swift and singing smooth and strongG
She gallops by the fields alongG
