Shall Earth No More Inspire Thee Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CACA DEDE CFCG GHGH IJIJ AAAA

Shall Earth no more inspire theeA
Thou lonely dreamer nowB
Since passion may not fire theeA
Shall nature cease to bowB
-
Thy mind is ever movingC
In regions dark to theeA
Recall its useless rovingC
Come back and dwell with meA
-
I know my mountain breezesD
Enchant annd soothe thee stillE
I know my sunshine pleasesD
Despite thy wayward willE
-
When day with evening blendingC
Sinks from the summer skyF
I've seen thy spirit bendingC
In fond idolotryG
-
I've watched thee every hourG
I know my mighty swayH
I know my magic powerG
To drive thy griefs awayH
-
Few hearts to mortal givenI
On earth so wildly pineJ
Yet none would ask a HeavenI
More like this Earth than thineJ
-
Then let my winds caress theeA
Thy comrade let me beA
Since nought beside can bless theeA
Return and dwell with meA
