When I Am Dead And Sister To The Dust Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDCDCD

When I am dead and sister to the dustA
When no more avidly I drink the wineB
Of human love when the pale ProserpineB
Has covered me with poppies and cold rustA
Has cut my lyre strings and the sun has thrustA
Me underground to nourish the world vineB
Men shall discover these old songs of mineB
And say This woman lived as poets mustA
-
This woman lived and wore life as a swordC
To conquer wisdom this dead woman readD
In the sealed Book of Love and underscoredC
The meanings Then the sails of faith she spreadD
And faring out for regions unexploredC
Went singing down the River of the DeadD
