Womanly Qualms Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE AGHG IJKJ LMHM NJOJ

When I go rowing on the lakeA
I long to be a manB
I'll give my Sunday frock to haveC
A callous heart like DanB
-
I love the ripple of the wavesD
When gliding o'er the deepE
But when I see the cruel oursF
I close my eyes and weepE
-
For there are cat fish in our lakeA
And I am filled with dreadG
Lest Don should strike a pussy fishH
Upon its tender headG
-
How would you like it if some dayI
An air ship passing byJ
Should flap its cruel thoughtless oarsK
And knock you in the eyeJ
-
My life would be one long regretL
If for my pleasure vainM
I caused a harmless little fishH
An hour of needless painM
-
And if Dan's heavy oars should causeN
One little fish to dieJ
I'd never never dare to lookO
Smoked herring in the eyeJ
