The Sheep Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EEFF GGHH IIJJ

The Sheep adorns the landscape ruralA
And is both singular and pluralA
It gives grammarians the creepsB
To hear one say A flock of sheepsB
-
The Sheep is gentle meek and mildC
And led in herds by man or childC
Being less savage than the rabbitD
Sheep are gregarious by habitD
-
The Sheep grows wool and thus promotesE
The making of vests pants and coatsE
Vests pants and coats and woolen clothsF
Provide good food for hungry mothsF
-
With vegetables added toG
The Sheep we get our mutton stewG
Experiments long since revealedH
The Sheep should first be killed and peeledH
-
Thus with our debt to them so deepI
All men should cry Praise be for SheepI
And if we happen to be shepherdsJ
Praise be they're not as fierce as leopardsJ
