The trifling of an amateurB
Poor marksmanship its temper spoilsC
And this is why the gun recoilsC

A self respecting gun I'm sureA
Delights to jar the amateurB
And thinks that it is no disgraceD
To kick his shoulder out of placeD

When you go out to hunt my sonF
Prepare to circumvent your gunF
And on your shoulder firmly bindG
A pillow of the largest kindG
