October Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD

The forest holds high carnival todayA
And every hill side glows with gold and fireB
Ivy and sumac dress in colors gayA
And oak and maple mask in bright attireB
-
The hoarded wealth of sober autumn daysC
In lavish mood for motley garb is spentD
And nature for the while at folly playsC
Knowing the morrow brings a snowy LentD
