And penned it on a dainty sheet | B |
Of pink note paper and I laid | C |
The offering at Kate's feet | B |

Oh Dearest Kate the lines begin | E |
Oh Dearest Kate has married since | F |
And now I strive fair Maude to win | E |

And as my muse is slow of late | H |
I use that valentine again | G |
