Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEFG HIJJKK LLMMNN OOEELLPPLLLLQQLL KK

Twain Oh yes I've heard Mark TwainA
Heard him down to Pleasant PlainA
Funny Yes I guess so FolksB
Seemed to laugh loud at his jokesB
Laughed to beat the band but IC
Couldn't rightly make out whyC
Guess his humor ain't refinedD
Quite enough to suit my mindD
Mark's all right right clever speakerE
But he can't touch Jabed MeekerE
And one thing that makes it queerF
Is that Jabed lives right hereG
-
You ain't met him Son you've missedH
The most funniest humoristI
I've met with in my born daysJ
Funniest talker anywaysJ
When it comes to reparteeK
That's the humor catches meK
-
Like a specimen Huh WellL
Take for instance his umbrellL
Wouldn't think until he spokeM
He could turn that to a jokeM
Mark Twain couldn't bet you thatN
That's where Meeker beats Mark flatN
-
Just imagine three or fourO
Fellers in Jim Beemer's storeO
'Long comes Meeker and some fellerE
Says See Meeker's bum umbrellerE
Quick as lightning Meeker 'd yellL
Don't you guy my bumberellL
Where's the feller dares to hootP
At this sping spang bumbershootP
Show me some one dares to callL
Bad names at my bumbersollL
Right like that Right off the reelL
Say you'd ought to heard us squealL
Then before we'd got our breathQ
Meeker solemn sad as deathQ
Says Stand up there 'gainst that wallL
Para bumber shooter sollL
-
Twain All right But just give meK
Some one slick at reparteeK
