Golden Silence Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CBCB DBDB DBDB

I told her I loved her and begged but a wordA
One dear little word that would beB
For me by all odds the most sweet ever heardA
But never a word said sheB
-
I raged at her then and I said she was coldC
I swore she was nothing to meB
I prayed her the cause of her silence unfoldC
But never a word said sheB
-
I covered with kisses her delicate handD
But she only glanced down where the seaB
Low murmured in ripples of love on the sandD
And never a word said sheB
-
I cast her hand from me with rage unsuppressedD
And she turned her blue eyes up to meB
And smiled as she laid her fair head on my breastD
What need of a word asked sheB
