A Culinary Puzzle Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEDE AFDFGEGE EHIHJECE EKAKLHHE

In our dainty little kitchenA
Where my aproned wife is queenB
Over all the tin pan peopleC
In a realm exceeding cleanB
Oft I like to loiter watchingD
While she mixes things for teaE
And she tasks me slyly smilingD
Now just guess what this will beE
-
Hidden in a big blue apronA
Her dimpled arms laid bareF
And the love smiles coyly minglingD
With a housewife's frown of careF
See her beat a golden batterG
Pausing but to ask of meE
As she adds a bit of butterG
Now just guess what this will beE
-
Then I bravely do my dutyE
Guess it pudding cake or pieH
Dumplings waffles bread or muffinsI
But no matter what I tryH
This provoking witch just answersJ
Never mind just wait and seeE
But I think you should be ableC
Dear to guess what this will beE
-
Little fraud she never tells meE
Until 'tis baked and brownedK
And I think I know the reasonA
For her secrecy profoundK
She herself with all her fine airsL
And her books on cookeryH
Could not answer should I ask herH
Dearest what will that mess beE
