| The wild fresh airs of Spring blow to and fro | C |
| Piping out Winter's reign | B |
| - | |
| I know the rosy wind flowers spread like clouds | D |
| Above the leafy mould | E |
| And pollard willows over shallow pools | F |
| Stretch out their rods of gold | E |
| - | |
| I hear the waters in the mossy swamps | G |
| Start on their ocean quest | H |
| Gliding through meadows murmuring in woods | I |
| Till reaching final rest | H |
| - | |
| Fixed in my thoughts is Spring so long remote | J |
| Though Spring cannot endow | K |
| As Summer can or yield sweet Autumn's peace | L |
