Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEF GFHI JFKILI MNFMO III PQORFIII FSLB

Eleven o'clockA
Here are our cups of chocolateB
Montez will fight the bulls to dayC
All Madrid knows thatD
Queen Christina is going in stateE
Dolores will go with her little fanF
-
Lace up my shoeG
Put on my BasquinaF
Can you see my black eyesH
I am Manuel's duchessI
-
In front of the box of the Queen and the DukeJ
Dolores sits flirting her fanF
The church of St Agnes stands on the rightK
And its shadow falls on the picadorsI
On their lean steeds they prance in the ringL
Hidalgo fashion their hands on their hipsI
-
Ha Toro ToroM
Hoh the horses are goredN
Now for the menF
Ha Toro ToroM
Every man over the barrierO
-
Not so for there the bull fighter standsI
Some little applause from the royal boxI
And Montez Montez from a thousand throatsI
-
The bull bows fine though snorting with rageP
His fore leg makes little holes in the groundQ
But Montez stands still his ribbons don't flutterO
Saints what a leapR
His rosette is on the bull's black hornF
Montez is pale but his great eye shinesI
When Dolores cries Kisses for MontezI
Fie Manuel's duchessI
-
A minute longer the fight is doneF
The mule bells tinkle the bull rides offS
Montez twirls a new diamond ringL
And Dolores goes home for chocolateB
