Autumn Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIH JKLK MNON

No melancholy days are theseA
Not where the maple changing standsB
Not in the shade of fluttering oaksC
Nor in the bandsB
-
Of twisting vines and sturdy shrubsD
Scarlet and yellow green and brownE
Falling or swinging on their stalksF
Is Sorrow's crownE
-
The sparkling fields of dewy grassG
Woodpaths and roadsides decked with flowersH
Starred asters and the goldenrodI
Date Autumn's hoursH
-
The shining banks of snowy cloudsJ
Steadfast in the aerial blueK
The silent shimmering silver seaL
To Joy are trueK
-
My spirit in this happy airM
Can thus embrace the dying yearN
And with it wrap me in a shroudO
As bright and clearN
