| You'd escort me with your brown eyes | J |
| Maybe you cried but I couldn't see | G |
| As I disappeared home as the day dusked | E |
| And it could be the longest of the nights | K |
| Before another magical day | E |
| Was it love or infatuation | L |
| Maybe the latter was to lead to the former | B |
| But all of us were fools cowards | M |

| At Grade I thought you could man up | I |
| But you stood there and wished me farewell | N |

| And the words 'I LOVE YOU' were heavy for your young tongue | O |

| As I go through the letter you wrote me afterwards | M |
