Unknown Warrior Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBB CDCD EFEF BB

Not that broad path chose he which whoso willsA
May tread if he by pay the fatal priceB
And for such sweet as earthly life extilsB
Slaughter his heaven born soul in sacrificeB
-
But he though loving these cast yet with strongC
Hands all aside and took the obscure wayD
Which few may find or finding follow longC
O let not weak regrets hinder me nayD
-
Health wealth fame friendship all that I hold dearE
I ll spend nor seek return O what dark crownF
Be his he cares not who thus gives how nearE
May hang yet his lost laurels of renownF
-
Yea who dares thus die haply he may seeB
Suddenly unsought immortalityB
