After Bank Holiday Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DEFEGH AAAAII

Now deserted are the roadsA
Where awhile the lovers wentB
Vacant are the field abodesA
Where a vivid hour they spentB
Solemn darkC
Broods again in lane and parkC
-
'Tis no matter where are goneD
Those warm lives to halls maybeE
Festive or to lodgings loneF
Of the land their tenancyE
Now is o'erG
Earth to earth belongs once moreH
-
Gone are they as hourly goesA
From the sombre fields of spaceA
Our world with its little glowsA
Passion's ship that has no placeA
Leaves no trackI
On time's endless ocean blackI
