The Two Sayings Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBBBBBBBCBCBC

Two savings of the Holy Scriptures beatA
Like pulses in the Church's brow and breastB
And by them we find rest in our unrestB
And heart deep in salt tears do yet entreatB
God's fellowship as if on heavenly seatB
The first is JESUS WEPT whereon is prestB
Full many a sobbing face that drops its bestB
And sweetest waters on the record sweetB
And one is where the Christ denied and scornedB
LOOKED UPON PETER Oh to render plainC
By help of having loved a little and mournedB
That look of sovran love and sovran painC
Which HE who could not sin yet suffered turnedB
On him who could reject but not sustainC
