Sonnets From The Portuguese Xl Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDCDCD

Oh yes they love through all this world of oursA
I will not gainsay love called love forsoothB
I have heard love talked in my early youthB
And since not so long back but that the flowersA
Then gathered smell still Mussulmans and GiaoursA
Throw kerchiefs at a smile and have no ruthB
For any weeping Polypheme's white toothB
Slips on the nut if after frequent showersA
The shell is over smooth and not so muchC
Will turn the thing called love aside to hateD
Or else to oblivion But thou art not suchC
A lover my Belov d thou canst waitD
Through sorrow and sickness to bring souls to touchC
And think it soon when others cry Too lateD
