Sonnet Xviii: I Never Gave A Lock Of Hair Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDEDFD

I never gave a lock of hair awayA
To a man dearest except this to theeB
Which now upon my fingers thoughtfullyB
I ring out to the full brown length and sayA
Take it My day of youth went yesterdayA
My hair no longer bounds to my foot's gleeB
Nor plant I it from rose or myrtle treeB
As girls do any more it only mayA
Now shade on two pale cheeks the mark of tearsC
Taught drooping from the head that hangs asideD
Through sorrow's trick I thought the funeral shearsE
Would take this first but Love is justifiedD
Take it thou finding pure from all those yearsF
The kiss my mother left here when she diedD
