Sonnet Xix: The Soul's Rialto Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAACBADEDEDE

The soul's Rialto hath its merchandiseA
I barter curl for curl upon that martB
And from my poet's forehead to my heartB
Receive this lock which outweighs argosiesA
As purply black as erst to Pindar's eyesA
The dim purpureal tresses gloomed athwartC
The nine white Muse brows For this counterpartB
The bay crown's shade Belov d I surmiseA
Still lingers on thy curl it so blackD
Thus with a fillet of smooth kissing breathE
I tie the shadows safe from gliding backD
And lay the gift where nothing hinderethE
Here on my heart as on thy brow to lackD
No natural heat till mine grows cold in deathE
