Sonnet Viii: What Can I Give Thee Back Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCCBBCDEDEDF

What can I give thee back O liberalA
And princely giver who hast brought the goldB
And purple of thine heart unstained untoldB
And laid them on the outside of the wallC
For such as I to take or leave withalC
In unexpected largesse am I coldB
Ungrateful that for these most manifoldB
High gifts I render nothing back at allC
Not so not cold but very poor insteadD
Ask God who knows For frequent tears have runE
The colours from my life and left so deadD
And pale a stuff it were not fitly doneE
To give the same as pillow to thy headD
Go farther let it serve to trample onF
